  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, milk, flour, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Add the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest to the mixture, stirring gently until incorporated.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pie dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
