Ingredients

  • 8 large jalapeño peppers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 16 slices of bacon
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Cut the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat, if desired.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling them generously.
  5. Cut each slice of bacon in half. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a half slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
  6. Place the wrapped jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
