Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce optional
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet for the wings to crisp up.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them in the spice mixture until they are evenly coated.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and hot sauce (if using) until well combined.
  5. Pour the brown sugar mixture over the seasoned wings and toss until they are fully coated.
  6. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and caramelized.
  7. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
