  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Can use nutmeg instead.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg Optional.

  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Chopped, can replace with cilantro.

Method

  1. Sauté the sausage in a skillet with olive oil until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté the onion in the same skillet for about 3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the butternut squash and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Mix in the diced apples and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Season with cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper, and cook for another minute.
  6. Combine the sausage back into the skillet and heat everything through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving warm.
