  • 2 tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil Enhances flavor.
For the Topping
  • 8 oz Fresh Whole-Milk Mozzarella For ghost shapes.
  • 1/4 cup Pesto Consider sun-dried tomato pesto for variation.
  • 6 pieces Campari Tomatoes Can substitute with grape tomatoes.
For the Finish
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze Thicker glaze for better application.

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place mozzarella in freezer for 10 minutes.
  2. Slice the baguette diagonally into 1/2-inch-thick pieces and arrange on a baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle the baguette slices with olive oil and bake for 8-9 minutes until golden and crisp.
  4. Slice mozzarella into planks and use a ghost-shaped cutter to create ghost shapes.
  5. Spread 1 teaspoon of pesto on each crostini.
  6. Top half of crostini with a Campari tomato slice and a mozzarella ghost, drizzle with balsamic glaze for faces.
  7. For the remaining crostini, layer with tomato slices and chopped mozzarella, drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  8. Arrange assembled crostini on a platter and serve immediately.
