- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, greasing it lightly.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook for about 7–10 minutes until the beef is browned and onions are translucent.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to about ¼-inch thickness and cut it into 16 equal squares.
- Place a scoop of the beef mixture in the center of each dough square and add a square of cheddar cheese. Fold corners over and seal tightly.
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil and stir in the baking soda. Gently place each bomb in the water for 30 seconds, then place on the baking sheet seam-side down.
- Brush the tops of the bombs with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake for about 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving with ketchup or mustard.
