Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, Ro'tel tomatoes, sour cream, milk, and taco seasoning. Mix well until creamy.
- Layer half of the crushed Nacho Doritos in the bottom of the prepared casserole dish.
- Spoon half of the creamy chicken mixture over the Doritos, spreading it evenly.
- Repeat the layering with the remaining Doritos and then add the rest of the chicken mixture on top.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the top layer.
- Cover with foil and bake for approximately 35 minutes. Remove foil in the last 10 minutes to allow cheese to crisp.
- Allow the casserole to rest for 5 minutes before serving, optionally garnishing with fresh cilantro or jalapeños.
