Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the Italian sausage for 5-7 minutes, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter, then sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add cauliflower and broccoli to the skillet, sauté for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour in heavy cream, season with salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and nutmeg; let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese over low heat until melted and creamy.
  7. Combine the cooked sausage back into the mixture.
  8. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with grated Parmesan and bread crumbs.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  10. Let rest for about 5 minutes before serving and garnish with fresh parsley.
