Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large skillet, add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until browned and onions are translucent, about 8-10 minutes. Stir in tomato sauce and herbs, simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and a pinch of salt. Mix in fresh basil and oregano until creamy.
  3. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce, layer with noodles, then the ricotta mixture, followed by mozzarella. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
  5. Let the lasagna rest for 15 minutes before serving.
