Step-by-Step Instructions for Churro Saltine Toffee
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare your baking sheet.
  2. Line a 10 x 15-inch baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly spray with non-stick spray.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Arrange 40 saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. In a medium saucepan, combine salted butter and brown sugar. Stir until boiling, and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Carefully pour the hot mixture evenly over the crackers and spread if needed.
  7. Bake the baking sheet in the oven for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool briefly before gently pressing any overlapping crackers into place.
  9. Immediately sprinkle white chocolate chips over the toffee layer.
  10. Once softened, spread the melted chocolate evenly over the toffee layer.
  11. Generously sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the melted chocolate.
  12. Allow to cool completely, then break into pieces or cut into squares.
