- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions, typically about 8–10 minutes until al dente.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic for 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess fat, then stir in marinara sauce and dried herbs; simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly to create a creamy filling.
- Layer the ingredients in a greased baking dish: start with meat sauce, then noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, repeat, and finish with meat sauce and remaining cheeses on top.
