Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti or fettuccine until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then sear for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden. Remove and let rest.
  3. Cook Bacon & Garlic: In the same skillet, add diced bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-6 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Make the Sauce: Lower the heat and add heavy cream, whisking continuously. Gradually add Parmesan cheese until smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Slice chicken and return to the skillet. Add drained pasta and reserved pasta water, tossing until creamy.
  6. Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle parsley over the pasta. Serve immediately, adding extra Parmesan if desired.
