Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the chicken breasts between plastic wrap and pound them to ¼-inch thickness. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Layer Swiss cheese and ham on each chicken breast.
  4. Roll the chicken breasts tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  5. Set up a dredging station with flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Coat each chicken roll in flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  7. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet and brown the chicken rolls for 5 minutes on each side.
  8. Transfer browned chicken rolls to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Make the cream sauce by melting butter, adding flour, and whisking in milk until thickened.
  10. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Dijon mustard, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  11. Serve the chicken with the cream sauce drizzled on top.
