Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pound chicken breasts to a uniform thickness of about 1/4 inch and season with salt and pepper.
- Lay Swiss cheese and ham on each chicken breast, then roll up and secure with toothpicks.
- Prepare a dredging station with flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs. Coat each roll in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
- In a skillet, brown the chicken rolls on all sides for about 5 minutes in a mixture of butter and olive oil.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes until cooked through.
- For the cream sauce, melt butter and whisk in flour, then gradually add milk until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Dijon mustard.
- Serve chicken rolls with a drizzle of cream sauce on top.
