  • 9-inch round dish

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Cowboy Caviar
  1. Begin by placing softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer or a whisk, beat it on medium speed until it becomes creamy and smooth, roughly 2-3 minutes.
  2. Once the cream cheese is smooth, mix in cumin, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, lime juice, olive oil, and pressed garlic. Stir everything together for about 1-2 minutes until all ingredients are fully combined.
  3. Gently fold in the rinsed and drained black beans and sliced black olives, ensuring the beans maintain their shape. Reserve a handful of black beans for garnish later. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. After the dip has chilled, take a 9-inch round dish and spread the black bean mixture evenly across the bottom. Smooth it out, creating a flat surface.
  5. Finally, take the reserved black beans and sprinkle them over the top of the Cowboy Caviar. Arrange chopped hard-boiled eggs around the edge.
