- Wash and peel the Yukon Gold potatoes, then slice them into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
- Combine the sliced potatoes, minced garlic, heavy cream, whole milk, kosher salt, black pepper, nutmeg, and bay leaves in a large pot. Bring to a gentle simmer for 5-7 minutes.
