  • 1 cup Cashews soaked for at least 6-8 hours
  • 1/4 cup Nutritional Yeast
  • 1/2 cup Almond or Plant-Based Milk unsweetened variety
For Flavor
  • 1 can Green Chilies canned version preferred
  • 1/4 cup Pickled Jalapenos jarred or homemade
  • 1 unit Lemon juice of
For Spice
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Soak the cashews in water for 6-8 hours or cover them with boiling water for 20-30 minutes. Drain and rinse.
  2. Gather the ingredients: 1 can of green chilies, 1/4 cup of pickled jalapenos, juice of 1 lemon, 1/4 cup of nutritional yeast, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, and 1/2 cup of unsweetened plant-based milk.
  3. Blend the soaked cashews, green chilies, pickled jalapenos, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, smoked paprika, chili powder, and plant-based milk until smooth.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning and consistency by adding salt or more milk as needed.
  5. Serve warm immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
