- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your mini muffin pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Devil's Food Cake Mix, large eggs, and canola or vegetable oil. Mix in black food coloring if desired.
- Scoop the dough into the greased mini muffin pans, filling them about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, until edges look firm and centers are still soft. Make an indent in the center after removing from oven.
- Cool the cookie cups in the pans for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Beat the softened unsalted butter in a medium bowl until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, salt, and milk to reach a spreadable consistency, adding green food coloring last.
- Fill a piping bag with the green buttercream frosting and pipe it into the indented centers of each cooled cookie cup.
- Decorate with round green sprinkles, Halloween sprinkles, candy eyeballs, and insert pretzel sticks as stir sticks.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days.
