  • 4 pieces Cube Steaks Tender and juicy
  • 2 cups Buttermilk For soaking
For the Coating
  • 1 cup Seasoned Flour Blend of flour and spices
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper To taste
For the Gravy
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil For frying
  • 2 cups Peppered Gravy Creamy sauce for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Tenderize the Cube Steaks by placing them between plastic wrap and pounding to ½ inch thick.
  2. Soak tenderized steaks in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. Prepare seasoned flour by mixing flour, salt, pepper, and any additional spices.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Dredge soaked steaks in seasoned flour, coating evenly.
  6. Fry the steaks in hot oil for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Drain fried steaks on paper towels.
  8. Make gravy in the same skillet by whisking in seasoned flour and milk, cooking until thick.
  9. Serve the crispy steaks topped with creamy peppered gravy.
