  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese Soften before mixing
  • 1 cup Queso Dip Homemade queso enhances the taste
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro Substitute with parsley if desired
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can be used
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika Regular paprika for a milder flavor
For Wrapping & Frying
  • 8 pieces Flour Tortillas Corn tortillas for gluten-free
  • 1/4 cup Butter or Oil Use a neutral oil like canola

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, crab meat, Monterey Jack cheese, cream cheese, queso dip, cilantro, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Blend until creamy.
  2. Take a flour tortilla, spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the filling into the center, roll it tightly, and secure with a toothpick if needed.
  3. In a skillet, heat 1/4 cup of butter or neutral oil over medium heat. Fry each taquito for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove from skillet, drain on paper towels, take out toothpicks, drizzle with warm queso dip, sprinkle with cilantro, and serve immediately.
