Step-by-Step Instructions for Crispy Vegan Homemade Falafel
  1. Soak chickpeas in water overnight for at least 8 hours.
  2. Drain and rinse soaked chickpeas, then blend with onion, garlic, herbs, cumin, cardamom, salt, pepper, optional flour, and baking soda until a coarse mixture forms.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized falafel and let rest.
