  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder Ensure it's fresh.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt Kosher salt can be used.

  • 4 large Eggs Flax eggs can work for vegan.
  • 2 cups Full-Fat Milk Can substitute with almond milk.

  • 1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts Substitute with pecans or almonds if desired.

  • 1 can Cherry Pie Filling Choose natural ingredients or homemade.

Preparation
  1. Coat the inside of your crockpot with nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Finely chop the walnuts and set aside.
  3. In the crockpot, combine rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, sea salt, and chopped walnuts.
  4. Reserve 2 cups of the oatmeal mixture in a separate bowl.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together eggs and full-fat milk until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the egg mixture over the dry oatmeal blend in the crockpot, then layer the cherry pie filling on top.
  7. Cover the cherry pie filling with the reserved oatmeal mixture, then pour the remaining egg mixture on top.
  8. Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2 hours.

Notes
