Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 2 cups Dried Turkish Figs Remove stems before processing
  • 1 cup Hazelnuts Can be substituted with walnuts
For the Coating
  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Ensure it's dairy-free
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil Can substitute with ghee or palm shortening
For Binding
  • 1 tablespoon Water

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Baking Pan by lining an 8" x 8" baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Blend the Filling Ingredients in a food processor until resembling a coarse meal.
  3. Add Water for Binding gradually while blending the fig and nut mixture until a cohesive dough forms.
  4. Press the Mixture into the Pan ensuring it’s packed tightly and smooth on top. Freeze for 1 hour.
  5. Melt the Chocolate Coating in a double boiler or microwave until smooth and glossy.
  6. Cut and Dip the Bars into the melted chocolate, coating all sides.
  7. Set the Coating on a parchment-lined surface and drizzle with remaining chocolate and sprinkle with sea salt.
  8. Chill to Set the Chocolate for 15-20 minutes until firm.
