  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips semi-sweet or milk

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until a thick dough forms. Press into the bottom of the baking dish for the crust.
  3. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the 2 eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, and blend until light and fluffy.
  4. Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips gently into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Pour the cream cheese filling over the crust and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for about 40-45 minutes until the edges are set and golden while the center remains slightly gooey.
  7. Let the cake cool for a few minutes before cutting into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
