Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a 10x15 jelly roll or sheet pan with baking spray.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine butter and water, then microwave for about 2 minutes until melted.
  3. Whisk in buttermilk and sugar until dissolved, then add eggs, vanilla, and almond extracts; whisk until smooth.
  4. Gradually incorporate baking powder, baking soda, and salt, then slowly add flour, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the multi-colored jimmies or quins carefully.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spread evenly, and bake for 18-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool the cake on a wire rack for at least 20-30 minutes.
  8. To make the icing, melt butter, then stir in vanilla and almond extracts, followed by powdered sugar and half & half.
  9. Once the cake is cooled, ice the cake evenly and decorate with additional sprinkles if desired.
