Steps to Prepare
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, baking soda, tapioca starch, and sea salt. Mix until a cohesive dough forms.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Press the crust dough into the bottom of a greased 9x9-inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, slice Gala apples and combine them with water, coconut sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and tapioca starch. Toss until well coated.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly over the pressed crust.
- Crumble the remaining crust mixture on top of the apple filling to create a topping.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
- Let the bars cool in the baking dish for at least 15-20 minutes before slicing.
