Method
 

Steps to Prepare
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, baking soda, tapioca starch, and sea salt. Mix until a cohesive dough forms.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Press the crust dough into the bottom of a greased 9x9-inch baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, slice Gala apples and combine them with water, coconut sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and tapioca starch. Toss until well coated.
  4. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the pressed crust.
  5. Crumble the remaining crust mixture on top of the apple filling to create a topping.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Let the bars cool in the baking dish for at least 15-20 minutes before slicing.
