Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, drain pasta and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and simmer over medium-low heat for 3-5 minutes to thicken.
  4. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the cheese sauce, tossing gently. If too thick, add reserved pasta water until desired creaminess.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
