Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Melt 1 tablespoon of salted butter in a skillet over medium heat, add 3-4 thin lemon slices and ⅓ cup of white wine, bring to a boil, and reduce by one-third for about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Pour in ¼ cup of vegetable or chicken broth and 2 tablespoons of capers, stir gently and simmer for 2 more minutes.
  3. Combine 1 tablespoon of butter and ½ teaspoon of flour to create a beurre manie, mixing until smooth and creamy.
  4. Whisk the beurre manie into your simmering sauce for 2-3 minutes over medium heat until it thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and fold in 2 tablespoons of diced fresh parsley, adjusting seasoning or lemon tartness as needed.
