  • 2 oz pomegranate juice
  • 1 oz tangerine juice or fresh lemon juice
  • 2 oz tequila silver or blanco
  • 1 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau) Triple Sec as alternative
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 drop vanilla extract use pure vanilla for best flavor
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon freshly ground preferred
  • 1 pinch ground ginger muddled fresh ginger elevates flavor
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper omit for a milder drink
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary or thyme as alternative
  • 1 oz ginger beer optional for added fizz

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Prepare the serving glass by running a tangerine slice along the rim. Dip the rim in cinnamon-sugar mixture and fill the glass with ice.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine pomegranate juice, tangerine juice, tequila, orange liqueur, honey, and vanilla extract. Add the spices.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  5. Top off with ginger beer for an added festive flourish.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary or a cinnamon stick and enjoy.
