  • 1 teaspoon Cracked Black Pepper Tailor to your preference
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Basil Chopped, can substitute with mint or parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Mint Chopped, optional

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, dice fresh strawberries into bite-sized pieces and add balsamic vinegar, light brown sugar, and cracked black pepper. Stir until strawberries are coated.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  3. After maceration, fold in chopped fresh basil and mint. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately with pita chips, grilled meats, or over shortcakes.
