Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Beef And Broccoli
  1. Start by slicing your flank steak against the grain into thin strips and marinate in soy sauce and cornstarch for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a large wok or pan over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil. Sear the beef in a single layer for 4-5 minutes until browned. Remove and keep warm.
  3. In the same pan, sauté sliced onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets and chicken broth or water, cover and steam for 3-4 minutes until tender.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, add oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together and heat for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, and serve hot, optionally with steamed rice or noodles.
