Cupcake Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 180ºC (160ºC fan) and arrange 12 cupcake liners in a muffin tray.
- Beat the unsalted butter and light brown sugar together in a mixing bowl for 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Combine self-raising flour, cocoa powder, and medium eggs to the mixture; mix on low speed until just combined.
- Spoon batter into liners, filling each about two-thirds full, and bake for 20-22 minutes.
- Cool cupcakes in the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Beat unsalted butter, then gradually add icing sugar and cocoa powder, mixing until smooth.
- Pipe frosting onto cooled cupcakes in swirls.
- Press pretzel halves into frosting for antlers and top with a red candy nose and edible eyes.
