Step-by-Step Instructions for Fresh Blueberry Brownies
- Blend 1½ cups of fresh or thawed blueberries until smooth. Pour into a saucepan and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes until reduced to approximately ½ cup. Allow to cool.
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Combine ½ cup of melted unsalted butter with 1 cup of granulated sugar. Stir until well blended, then add 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Gently fold the cooled blueberry reduction into the wet mixture until fully combined.
- Sift ¾ cup of flour into the wet batter and stir gently until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared dish and bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Mix 1 cup of powdered sugar with 2-3 tablespoons of milk to create a glaze.
