  • 1/4 cup Chicken Broth choose homemade or low-sodium
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced) fresh garlic packs the most flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger (grated) optional if fresh isn't available
  • 1 medium Onion (chopped) shallots can be substituted
Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch mix with water for a slurry
  • 2 tablespoons Water

  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil any high smoke point oil will do
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

  • Green Onions for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the marinade ingredients until well combined.
  2. Place the chicken in a bag with the marinade, seal, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the griddle to medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, season with salt and pepper, and cook on the griddle for 5-6 minutes each side.
  5. Strain the reserved marinade, bring it to a boil, and thicken with cornstarch slurry.
  6. Brush the thickened sauce on the cooked chicken and let rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Slice the chicken, serve, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
