Equipment

  • Grill
  • Skewers

  • Resealable Bag

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the marinade by mixing together soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, salt, and hot sauce in a large resealable bag. Add the sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces, seal the bag, and shake to coat the meat thoroughly. Refrigerate for 8 to 24 hours.
  2. Soak wooden skewers in water for 20 to 30 minutes to prevent burning during grilling.
  3. Preheat your outdoor grill to high heat (400°F to 450°F) and ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled.
  4. Chop the red bell peppers and red onion into bite-sized pieces to match the beef for even cooking. Keep mushroom stems intact.
  5. Assemble the kabobs by alternating threading marinated steak pieces and vegetables onto the soaked skewers.
  6. Grill the assembled skewers for about 8 to 10 minutes, turning halfway through to cook evenly. Use a thermometer to check for medium-rare at 125°F.
  7. Let the kabobs rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the kabobs warm, garnished with fresh herbs and accompanied by your favorite sides.

Notes

Longer marinating times improve flavor. Always soak wooden skewers before grilling to prevent burning. Allow kabobs to rest after grilling for best texture.
