Ingredients

For the Meatballs
  • 1 package Frozen, pre-cooked meatballs Choose beef, pork, chicken, or vegetarian for a quick base; no need to cook raw meatballs beforehand.
For the Crescent Roll Wrapping
  • 8 oz Crescent roll dough Half a package cut into strips creates the 'bandages'; fresh homemade dough can enhance flavor.
For the Eyes
  • 1 package Mini pepperonis These little circles bring your mummies to life; alternatively, use small dots of mustard.
For Dipping Sauce
  • 1 cup Desired dipping sauce Pair with marinara, BBQ, or cheese sauce for extra taste.

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Oven
  • Parchment paper

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). Gather your ingredients and equipment: a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Unwrap the crescent roll dough and cut half of the package (about 8 oz) into strips, each roughly 1/4 inch wide.
  3. Take one frozen, pre-cooked meatball and wrap it with a couple of dough strips in a haphazard manner.
  4. Place the wrapped meatballs on your prepared baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Prepare mini pepperonis by cutting small circles to serve as eyes.
  6. Once the meatballs have cooled slightly, use a small dab of sauce to attach the pepperoni onto the meatballs.
  7. Serve warm on a festive platter with a selection of dipping sauces.
