Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
- Steam the frozen mixed vegetables with garlic powder, thyme, and nutmeg for 3-4 minutes.
- Melt butter in a saucepan, add flour to create a roux, then gradually whisk in milk and white wine until thickened.
- Fold in grated Parmesan and shredded cheese to the sauce, adjusting seasoning as needed.
- Combine the creamy sauce with the steamed vegetables and transfer to the casserole dish.
- Mix breadcrumbs with olive oil and sprinkle on top of the vegetable mixture.
- Cover and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
