Cooking Steps
- Wash 3-4 ripe peaches, cut in half, remove pit, chop into small pieces.
- Mix chopped peaches with lemon juice, sugar, and fruit pectin in a large pot.
- Bring the mixture to a vigorous boil over medium-high heat.
- Continue cooking for 10-15 minutes until thickened, stirring frequently.
- Ladle jam into clean jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace; seal tightly.
- Process jars in boiling water bath for 10 minutes for preservation.
- Cool completely on a towel or cooling rack.
