- In a medium pot, combine 4 black tea bags with 4 cups of water, 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional), 2 star anise pods, 4 whole cardamom pods, 1 cinnamon stick, half a vanilla bean (split), and 1 tsp ground turmeric. Heat over medium until boiling.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low and let simmer for 3 to 5 minutes to infuse spices into the tea.
- After simmering, strain the mixture into a large pitcher and let cool completely.
- Fill two glasses with ice cubes halfway.
- In a bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk and 1/4 cup of evaporated milk.
- Pour the cooled tea over the ice, filling glasses three-quarters full, then drizzle the creamy mixture over the top.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired and serve immediately.
