Ingredients
  

For the Tea Base
  • 4 bags Black Tea Strong black tea for ideal flavor.
  • 4 cups Water Fresh water for best extraction.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Turmeric Natural coloring agent with earthy taste.
For the Spice Blend
  • 2 pods Star Anise Adds warm, sweet, and licorice-like flavor.
  • 4 pods Whole Cardamom Infuses aromatic sweetness.
  • 1 stick Cinnamon Introduces warmth.
For the Sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar Adjust to taste; coconut palm sugar is optional.
  • 1/4 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk For creamy texture.
  • 1/4 cup Evaporated Milk Add richness.
For Extra Flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Optional, enhances flavor.
  • 1/2 bean Vanilla Use sparingly for flavor infusion.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a medium pot, combine 4 black tea bags with 4 cups of water, 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional), 2 star anise pods, 4 whole cardamom pods, 1 cinnamon stick, half a vanilla bean (split), and 1 tsp ground turmeric. Heat over medium until boiling.
  2. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and let simmer for 3 to 5 minutes to infuse spices into the tea.
  3. After simmering, strain the mixture into a large pitcher and let cool completely.
  4. Fill two glasses with ice cubes halfway.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk and 1/4 cup of evaporated milk.
  6. Pour the cooled tea over the ice, filling glasses three-quarters full, then drizzle the creamy mixture over the top.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired and serve immediately.
