  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar provides that wonderful sweetness that caramelizes the bacon

Equipment

  • skillet
  • large pot
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Toothpicks

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Partially cook 12 slices of bacon in a skillet over medium heat until edges begin to crisp, about 4-5 minutes. Place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a rolling boil and add 1 pound of fresh green beans. Blanch the beans for approximately 4 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and plunge into an ice water bath to stop cooking.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. In a mixing bowl, melt 1/4 cup of butter, stir in 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, mixing until smooth.
  5. Gather 5-6 blanched green beans and wrap them with a slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick. Repeat until all green beans are wrapped.
  6. Place the wrapped bundles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush generously with the glaze. Bake in the preheated oven for 7-10 minutes until bacon is crispy and golden.
  7. Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, take out toothpicks, and serve warm.
