Step-by-Step Instructions for Red Velvet Oreo Cheesecake
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Crush 24 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs, combine with melted butter, and press into a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, vinegar, and red food coloring until blended.
  3. Fold in sour cream and heavy cream. Stir in 8 crushed Oreo cookies.
  4. Pour filling into cooled crust. Top with cream cheese mixture to create marbled effect.
  5. Wrap the pan in aluminum foil and place it in a larger roasting pan filled with hot water.
  6. Bake for 55-65 minutes until set around the edges but jiggly in the center.
