- Thaw the Puff Pastry at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C).
- Cut the puff pastry into 9 equal squares about 4x4 inches.
- Fill each square with about 1 tablespoon of ricotta cheese, leaving a 1-2 cm edge.
- Brush the edges of each pastry square with the whisked egg.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and coarse sugar on top of the ricotta in each square.
- Bake the pastry squares for approximately 15 minutes or until golden-brown.
- Cool slightly before serving warm.
