Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional 30 seconds.
  5. Stir in 2 cups of shredded cooked chicken and coat with the sautéed onions and garlic.
  6. Pour in ¾ cup of hot sauce and stir until the chicken is coated.
  7. Add 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, ½ cup of sour cream, and ½ cup of ranch dressing.
  8. Stir continuously for 3–4 minutes until smooth.
  9. Mix in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  10. Season with black pepper and ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika.
  11. Spread the dip evenly in the skillet and reserve ½ cup of mixed cheese for topping.
  12. Sprinkle the reserved cheese over the dip and bake for 15–20 minutes.
  13. Garnish with chopped chives or green onions before serving.
