- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter and flour a 12-cup bundt or 10-inch tube pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the unsalted butter and 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter. Beat until smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Add large eggs and 1/2 cup of buttermilk, mixing gently.
- Add in all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, water, baking powder, and vanilla extract. Mix on low for 30 seconds, then medium for 2 minutes.
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 45 minutes; then reduce temp to 325°F (160°C) and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
- While cooling, mix remaining peanut butter, confectioners' sugar, and 1/4 cup of buttermilk until smooth. Add crushed dry-roasted peanuts if desired.
