Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the apple cider until warm, then add the diced butter and stir until melted.
  3. Slice the firm Bosc pears in half lengthwise and scoop out the core, placing them cut-side up in a baking dish.
  4. Pour the warm cider-butter mixture over the pears, sprinkle cinnamon, and drizzle maple syrup on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, basting every 10 minutes with the pan juices.
  6. After 30 minutes, check for tenderness; they should be caramelized and soft when done.
