Ingredients

For the Salmon
  • 4 ounces Salmon fillets Tender protein source; use 4-ounce portions for even cooking.
For the Glaze
  • 3 tablespoons Mirin Adds depth and sweetness; substitute with a splash of white wine mixed with sugar.
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic Enhances flavor profile; fresh garlic is recommended for the best taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Avocado oil Healthy oil with a high smoke point, essential for air frying; can use grapeseed or canola oil instead.
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Balances the saltiness of miso for a harmonious glaze; consider maple syrup as a vegan alternative.
  • 2 tablespoons White miso paste Packed with umami, it's the star of the dish; tahini works well for a soy-free option.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances overall flavor; use sparingly due to miso's natural saltiness.
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Adds subtle warmth; adjust according to your taste.
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions Sliced to add a fresh touch before serving; they brighten the dish beautifully.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine mirin, minced garlic, avocado oil, honey, and white miso paste. Whisk until smooth and glossy.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and place them on a plate.

  5. Place the glazed salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8 to 10 minutes.
  6. Remove the salmon from the air fryer and let it rest for a minute. Garnish with sliced green onions just before serving.
