  • 3-4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes adjust to taste
For the Protein
  • 1 pound Medium Shrimp peeled and deveined
For Brightness
  • 1 whole Lemon juice and zest
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley chopped
For Seasoning
  • to taste Kosher Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
Optional Topping
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese freshly grated, optional

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes for about 30 seconds.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Combine drained spaghetti with the shrimp and pour in reserved pasta water. Toss until well mixed and heated through.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, zest, and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley and Parmesan cheese, if desired.
