Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather your ingredients and prepare your workspace.
  2. Wash the Russet potatoes, poke holes with a fork, and bake them on the oven rack for 1 hour.
  3. Allow the baked potatoes to cool for 15 minutes, then slice them in half lengthwise and scoop out some flesh.
  4. Preheat your broiler to high, brush the insides and outsides of the potato skins with melted butter, and broil for 7-8 minutes.
  5. Fill each potato skin with sour cream and shredded cheese, then return to broiler for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle crumbled bacon and chopped green onions on top before serving warm.
