Ingredients
  

For the Salmon
  • 4 fillets Fresh salmon or thawed frozen salmon
  • to taste Salt for enhancing flavor
  • to taste Black Pepper for enhancing flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil to keep salmon moist
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup Pure Maple Syrup do not substitute
  • 1/4 cup Bourbon or non-alcoholic option
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce use gluten-free tamari if needed
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard for tanginess
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) for flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice fresh juice preferred
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika for smokiness
For Garnishing
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Parsley for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions sliced for garnish
  • 1 lemon Lemon Wedges for serving
  • optional tablespoons Sesame Seeds for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, bourbon, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Pat salmon dry and season with salt and pepper. Place skin-side down on the baking sheet and brush tops with olive oil.
  4. Generously coat the salmon with the glaze and reserve some for later.
  5. Bake the salmon for 10-12 minutes until flaky and golden brown.
  6. Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes for a crispy finish.
  7. Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve with lemon wedges.
