Preparation Steps
  1. Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a medium baking sheet with parchment paper, ensuring it's flat and secure.
  2. Prepare the Medjool Dates: Slice each medjool date open along one side, then remove the pit and flatten them.
  3. Melt the Peanut Butter: Heat creamy peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals until smooth.
  4. Melt the Chocolate and Coconut Oil: Combine chocolate chips and coconut oil in a bowl, heating until melted.
  5. Add Sea Salt: Sprinkle flaked sea salt evenly on top of the chocolate layer if using.
  6. Chill to Set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 1 hour to let the bark set.
  7. Cut and Store: Cut the bark into bite-sized pieces and store in an airtight container.
